Brad D. Citron

Brad graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Government, and a minor in Criminology.  He attended Western State University College of Law in San Diego, receiving the Juris Doctor degree.  As a civil litigator for over 25 years, Brad has extensive experience in a wide range of practice areas including representation of developers and general contractors in construction defects, personal injury defense, commercial business premises liability, and suspected fraudulent claims defense.  He has also defended common carriers in transportation litigation, security and employment claims for financial institutions, and defense of health care providers in medical malpractice and elder abuse claims. Brad has successfully argued before the Second Appellate District affirming summary judgment, and recently was assistant counsel in a lengthy elder abuse trial in Santa Barbara.  In December of 2010 after a two week trial, Brad obtained a defense verdict and judgment in favor of a nurse registry client sued for negligence in the Southeast District [Norwalk] Superior Court.  Brad has been a lead participant in numerous mediations throughout California, and has established professional relationships with many judges, mediators, and fellow practitioners throughout his career.   In June of 2011, Brad received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine School of Law.  He is admitted to the State Bar of California (1985), and the Federal Courts of the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of California (1985, 1987), and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal (1987).
